Biography

Oliver is an artist based in London specialising in landscape, portraiture, marine and architectural work. He mostly paints small, intimate pictures in watercolour and pastel but also large landscapes in oil and acrylic.

Born in 1979, Oliver has a long-standing interest in art and heritage having an art foundation from Camberwell School of Art, an undergraduate degree in History of Art from the University of Bristol and post graduate degrees in Historic Conservation & Architectural History from Oxford Brookes & Oxford University.

From an early age the work of the Impressionists has been highly influential on his work. Firstly specialising in portraiture, he later spent ten years painting abstract landscapes. This wide scope of self-taught practice has enabled him to see form with a freshness of life and emotion.
